Gymbo

Gymbo

Soft knees. Long spine. Hips shoot back. Keep the weight glued close to your legs. Stand tall and squeeze your glutes at the top. That's a hinge, not a squat.

Setup

  1. Soft knees — unlock them, don't squat them.
  2. Weight stays close to the legs the whole time.
  3. Think 'close the car door with your hips.'

Mistakes Gymbo will call

Squatting the hinge

Push the hips further back. Shins should barely move.

Rounding the back

Stop the set. Raise the load's start position and own a long spine.

The weight drifts forward

Drag it up your legs. Close is strong.
